Hubbard Township Police Explorers

“Explorers-Learning For Life”

The Explorers program was founded in 2014 to allow young men and women who are interested in law enforcement a chance to learn what the career is like. The Explorers also allow for an excellent chance to help your community and accumulate useful community service hours.



Criteria For Joining:

• The Hubbard Township Police Explorers abide by the rules established by the Boy Scouts of America regarding Explorer programs.

·         •Be older than 14 and have graduated the 8th grade.

•Complete an application.

•Pass oral interview.

•The Explorer Program allows for an excellent learning opportunity through both classroom sessions and hands on experience.


Classroom Sessions Include:

•Introduction to Law Enforcement

•Criminal Law

•Case Law

•Policing and Search and Seizure

Hands On Sessions Include:

Traffic Stop Training

•CPR/AED/ First Aid Certification

•Ride Alongs

•And more

Community Service Opportunities Have Included:

•National Night Out

•The Taste of Hubbard

•More than 40 Hours available
