KINDERGARTEN SCREENING: Officers assist the school in fingerprint identification of new students.
SCHOOL BUS RIDE-ALONG: Officers periodically riding school busses to interact with students and to observe safety at bus stops.
CAREER SHADOWING: Working with the Reed Middle School Guidance Dept. students who are interested in possible careers in law enforcement come and spend the day at the police department.
CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY: A program designed to show citizens what we do, how we do it and why we do it. This also gives the citizens and officers an opportunity to get to know each other. This program was also introduced to the Hubbard High School curriculum for students to better understand the ins and outs of police work.
CRIME PREVENTION: A program that involves neighborhood crime watch and block watch groups throughout the community as well as tips that are periodically run in local newspapers.
